... but let's start from the beginning, with a classic Malibu frame

 

but first you gotta get rid of the Malibu

but a two-ton crane makes an easy job of that!

5 liter mouse motor pimped up beautifully in copper and silver

 

body test fit over frame looks very promising

 

but to get there you need to do some framework

 

levelling and cutting it in order to stretch the wheelbase

 

only to get the correct length because the frame's too wide

 

so lowslung new legs are welded in BEFORE originals are cut out!

 

trunk's cut out to make room for dropped axle

 

original frame rolling away to make some restorer's heart jump for joy

 

so, she's gonna be low

 

as in VERY low

 

next the engine goes in

 

but there's got to be more room for the tranny (rollover)

 

and then everything comes off again for the final frame prep (rollover)

always watch your toes, kids, before dropping your rides

nachdem die ganze welt am zusammenbrechen ist (incl. oith forum), hier ein beispiel, wo`s noch vorwärts geht: häusl ist fertig. bremsen, schaltung, antrieb ist drin. airride muß noch elektrisiert werden. der ganze kabelbaum ist grade in arbeit. der tank macht noch sorgen. (ich glaub ich hab das echte leichentuch vom jesus drin gefunden). es war auf jedenfall ein ca. 5 liter eimer rostpartikel mit irgendeiner komischen handtuchartigen substanz drin. der vorbau wird auch grad angepasst und diese woche lackier ich die innenkotflügel. heut mach ich mich mal auf die suche nach nem passenden kühler. fakt: im märz ist rollout!!!
